The Eureka Tower is the world’s tallest residental building – which was offically opened in Melbourne, on October 11, 2006. At a height of 300 metres, the building is the highest in Melbourne, the 35th highest in the world and is the same height the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The building consists of 92 storeys and 556 apartments ranging in price from 390,000 dollars (292,000 US) to 7 million dollars (5.25 million US) and also features the fastest lifts in the Southern Hemisphere, taking just forty seconds to reach the top.
